Political analysts and observers mocked President Donald Trump on Thursday after he bragged about his signature ballroom on Truth Social.
Trump posted on Truth Social that the National Capital Planning Commission had approved his ballroom by an 8-1 vote, with Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) among the votes. Trump said he was "honored" to be the president who completed the project, and said it is already "on time and under budget," even though construction has been delayed due to court orders.

"When completed, it will be the Greatest and Most Beautiful Ballroom of its kind anywhere in the World, and a fabulous complement to our Beautiful and Storied White House!" Trump wrote.
Political analysts and observers reacted to the post on social media.
"Trump is retreating to his safe space of ballroom posting," political commentator Aaron Rupar posted on Bluesky.
"Emotional support ballroom," Bethany Mannon, a writing and rhetoric professor, posted on Bluesky.
"The guy is just such an incredibly demented, oblivious, malignant narcissist. No matter how horrendous it makes him look," political commentary account Spiro's Ghost posted on X.
"He used to be able to read a room, but shouldn’t we assume 95% of Americans either hate the Epstein Ballroom or don’t care about it?" lawyer Doug Linder posted on Bluesky.
