Issuance and Allocation Mechanism

The FLOKI token is a multi-chain asset available on both the Ethereum (ERC-20) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) networks.

Total Supply and Circulating Supply

The total supply of FLOKI across both chains is 20 trillion tokens.

Allocation for Staking Rewards

A significant portion of the ecosystem's sister token, TOKEN, is allocated to FLOKI stakers. Specifically, 5.60 billion TOKEN (representing 56.00% of the total TOKEN supply) is reserved for FLOKI stakers, who can earn these rewards over a period of up to four years.

Acquisition

Users can acquire FLOKI through:

• Exchanges: Purchasing on centralized exchanges (e.g., Binance, Bitget, Gate.io, HTX, OKX) or decentralized exchanges (e.g., Uniswap).
• Airdrop (Past): A migration from FLOKI V1 to FLOKI V2 occurred in July 2021 via an airdrop to address bugs, including an inflation bug in the V1 contract.

Usage and Incentive Mechanism

FLOKI is designed as a functional multi-utility token and the primary medium of exchange within the Floki Ecosystem.

Utility and Medium of Exchange

FLOKI's utility spans several products and platforms:

• Floki Card: FLOKI is used to purchase prepaid gift cards. A 1.00% fee is charged upon card creation, which is used to automatically buy back and burn FLOKI tokens.
• FlokiFi Locker: This DeFi protocol, which allows users to lock LP tokens, fungible tokens, and NFTs, is inherently powered by FLOKI. 25% of the transaction fee from FlokiFi Locker is automatically used for a transactional buy and burn of FLOKI tokens, with the remaining 75% going to the Floki treasury.
• University of Floki: FLOKI will serve as the primary utility token for this crypto education platform. While most content will be free, certain functions will require the use of FLOKI. Holders of the Aurum Gemstone of Truth NFT are excluded from fees when using FLOKI products, including "Forever Free" access to all Premium Floki University courses.
• Valhalla NFT Metaverse Game (Future/Intended Use):
  • Medium of Exchange: Intended for buying in-game items.
  • Rewards: Users are intended to earn FLOKI as a reward for battling.
  • Access: Users must hold a certain amount of FLOKI to make a character playable.

Transaction Fees and Treasury

A 0.3% tax is charged on every buy and sell transaction on decentralized exchanges (DEX). This tax is directed to the Floki treasury, which is used for further development of the Floki Ecosystem and marketing activities aimed at adoption.

Staking and Rewards

Tokenholders can stake FLOKI to earn rewards in TOKEN, the sister token of Floki.

• Reward Source: Rewards are sourced from the 5.60 billion TOKEN allocation.

  • 1 year: ~18.12% APY
  • 2 years: ~27.18% APY
  • 4 years: ~36.23% APY

Governance

FLOKI tokenholders participate in governance through the Floki DAO via offchain Snapshot proposals. This mechanism allows the community to vote on matters such as altering ecosystem offerings, FLOKI token functionalities, and allocating Floki Treasury funds.

Locking Mechanism and Unlocking Time

Liquidity Locking

The liquidity for FLOKI is locked for an extended period on both chains:

• Ethereum (ETH): Liquidity is locked for 265 years.
• BNB Smart Chain (BSC): Liquidity is locked for 265 years.

Staking Lock-up and Penalties

FLOKI tokens locked in the staking program are out of circulation for the duration of the chosen staking period, which can be up to 4 years. As of December 2023, over 21% of the total FLOKI supply was locked in the staking program.

Unstaking FLOKI before the chosen duration ends incurs a penalty fee, which is automatically burned by the protocol. The penalty fee varies based on the staking duration:

Deflationary Mechanisms

FLOKI's token supply is perpetually deflationary, primarily driven by automatic buyback and burn mechanisms tied to ecosystem utility:

1. FlokiFi Locker Fees: 25% of the service fees generated by the FlokiFi Locker protocol are used to automatically buy back and burn FLOKI tokens.
2. Floki Card Fees: A 1.00% fee charged for creating a prepaid gift card is used to buy back and burn FLOKI tokens.
3. Staking Penalties: Fees collected from early unstaking penalties are automatically burned.
4. Manual Burns: The project has conducted manual burns following DAO approval, such as the burn of approximately 190.92 billion FLOKI in March 2024.
