The Latest Amenity At Luxury Resorts? Signature House-Brewed Craft Beers

W Punta de Mita and Cervecería de Colima present a special-edition craft beer brewed just for guests of the beachfront resort.

Located in the heart of Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, named one of the best places to visit this year by both Forbes Travel Guide and Travel+Leisure, W Punta de Mita is a gastronomic force to be reckoned with. Already home to Daniela Soto-Innes’ newly opened Rubra and a Casa Dragones Palapa Bar by Rubra for tequila tastings, the resort now unveils its next sensorial experience: a special-edition craft beer.

Created in partnership with the nearby Cervecería de Colima, the resort-branded brew will be exclusively available to guests of the 126-key beachfront property, set along the Bahía de Banderas on Mexico’s Pacific coast. But W Punta de Mita is far from the only resort to offer guests such a unique experience as a part of their stay. In fact, original craft beers are becoming an increasingly common addition to the luxury hotel experience, creating an impact far beyond what most guests would expect.

It will come as no surprise to trend spotters that food-focused travel is among the most important tendencies in industry, with the 2025 Hilton Trends Report documenting that one in five travelers is now planning their entire vacation around seeking out memorable dining experiences.

But what may be more surprising is the marked interest in elevated drinking experiences that tends to come with it. Now, the majority of travelers cite connecting to a destination through unique dining and drinking experiences as one of the most important parts of a trip.

Created using local barley malt, hops, yeast, and pure volcanic water that originates from the slopes of the nearby Nevado de Colima volcano, W Punta de Mita’s new craft beer emerges as an unexpected point of connection to Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit. Even the design of the bottle pays homage to its origins, featuring an intricate design inspired by local huichol wixárika indigenous culture that serves as the creative inspiration for the resort’s colorful design and evocative architecture.

W Punta de Mita’s new signature craft beer joins it to the larger culinary experience the property prepares for its guests, one that is rooted in local produce and sustainable production. On the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, sister properties Jade Mountain and Anse Chastenet do the same, but from their very own brewery located on a sprawling piece of property that sits in the shadow of the island’s slumbering Pitons volcanoes.

Jade Mountain and Anse Chastenet operate an agro-brewery at their very own Emerald Organic Farm Estate, the produce from which helps the properties’ restaurants perennially rank as some of best places to eat on the island. A prized 300-year-old Hampshire ale yeast and freshly-harvested fruits and herbs sourced straight from the land are paired with ingredients like citrus, passionfruit, hibiscus, and cocoa nibs to create an array of different brews.

Among a number of impressive projects at the resorts’ brewery is a cask-conditioning program, which uses the emptied casks of 12-year-old aged rums from the nearby St. Lucia Distillers to create Admirable Rum Cask IPA, aged for a minimum of three months into a super-premium ale.

Guests can experience Emerald Organic Farm Estate’s entire beer-making process from start to finish on daily tours in which they’re able to explore the property’s grounds and even pick and taste the ingredients that form part of the beers created onsite. The resorts also offer flights and beer-tasting experiences that feature all of their own creations.

Brewed at F.O.K Brewing Co. in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Pradise Bliss Lager is the signature craft beer offered by Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico.

Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico is another hotel offering its own resort-branded craft beer, one with an exceptional story and island-wide impact. Located just 45 minutes from Puerto Rico’s capital of San Juan, the luxe north-shore resort partners with F.O.K Brewing Co. in Caguas to create PRadise Bliss Lager. With tropical notes of guava, passionfruit, and orange, the light lager is reminiscent of the bounty of the island’s tropical rainforest, El Yunque.

“We’re proud to be partners with F.O.K Brewing and support the innovation they’re bringing to the island,” said the general manager of Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico, Mark Frances. “Everything from the lager’s flavor profile to its bright, colorful branding is an excellent representation of our ethos and we look forward to the ways it will enhance the experience we create for our guests.”

But PRadise Bliss Lager is much more than just a flavorful surprise for visitors. For the property’s culinary director, Chef Ibrahim Sanz, it represents an important part of a long-standing effort to strengthen the resort’s sustainability while giving back to Puerto Ricans in a meaningful way.

By prioritizing the locally-crafter lager, the resort is able to significantly reduce its carbon footprint by minimizing mileage, while supporting Puerto Rican growers in the process.“It’s a way to both give back and also enhance the guest experience,” says Frances of the partnership.

The strategy has been part of a concerted effort that has helped the resort increase its use of local produce by more than 60% in local years. Tasty trend aside, that’s something worth raising a glass to celebrate.

Thomas Massie, R-Ky., who is leading a separate effort to force the Justice Department to release more Epstein case materials, voting alongside Democrats. The vote, if successful, would have resulted in the issuing of subpoenas to JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Sewing and Bank of New York Mellon CEO Robin Vince. The subpoenas would have specifically looked into multiple reports that claimed the four banks flagged $1.5 billion in suspicious transactions linked to Epstein. The failed effort from Democrats followed an FBI oversight hearing in which agency director Kash Patel misleadingly claimed the FBI cannot release many of the files it has on Epstein. And, of course, if it’s a legal requirement, we would conform to it. We have no issue with that.” Chief Critic “Republicans had the chance to subpoena the CEOs of JPMorgan, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and Bank of New York Mellon to expose Epstein’s money trail,” the House Judiciary Democrats said in a tweet. “Instead, they tried to bury…
