Figure Markets Launches $25K USDC Sweepstakes for DeFi Lenders

Figure Markets is one of the leaders in blockchain-powered capital markets and decentralized finance.  Today, they announced the launch of their $25,000 USDC Democratized Prime Sweepstakes, a limited-time campaign designed to introduce and reward U.S. retail investors exploring innovative yield-earning strategies on their Democratized Prime decentralized lending marketplace.

The sweepstakes will run from January 20, 2026, through February 20, 2026, offering participants a chance to win by engaging with one of DeFi’s most compelling lending products.

Figure Markets is at the forefront of democratizing finance through blockchain technology, combining advanced lending markets, decentralized custody, and transparent on-chain capital allocation. The platform powers a suite of digital finance products that connect lenders and borrowers with institutional-grade efficiency and crypto transparency, eliminating traditional intermediaries and opening access to previously exclusive yield opportunities.

Democratized Prime: Yield Meets Transparency

Democratized Prime is Figure Markets’ decentralized lending marketplace that lets investors lend digital assets like USDC and crypto into real-time lending pools and earn competitive yields backed by fully collateralized loan agreements.

Through a transparent Dutch auction process, lenders set yield targets and get matched to borrowers seeking liquidity, earning returns each hour. This system offers retail users access to institutional-grade yield strategies and competitive returns, often higher than traditional bank products, with full on-chain auditability.

Democratized Prime opens the door for everyday investors to tap into the same lending opportunities and returns once reserved for large capital allocators. It’s about leveling the playing field while educating participants on how transparent, blockchain-native markets can deliver real value.

Sweepstakes Details & Prizes

  • 🏆 Grand Prize: $20,000 USDC
  • 🎉 Five Winners: $1,000 USDC each
  • 📍 Eligibility: U.S. residents only, who have never previously had an offer accepted in Democratized Prime
  • 📅 Campaign Window: January 20, 2026 – February 20, 2026
  • 💸 Max Entries: 25,000 total entries
  • 💡 Mechanics: $1 = 1 entry; funds must remain in a pool for 25 consecutive days to count toward entries

For example, $10,000 deposited into a lending pool and held for the required 25 days earns 10,000 entries toward the prize draws, but withdrawing early forfeits those entries entirely. Official Rules here.

Participation is simple: U.S. users can get started by submitting an offer to lend into a Democratized Prime pool, and can begin to earn sweepstakes entries as soon as their offer is matched, while their assets work to generate yield. To receive any award from this sweepstakes, users must have an approved Figure Markets account. Full terms and mechanics are available on the Figure Markets sweepstakes page.

SEC clears framework for fast-tracked crypto ETF listings

The post SEC clears framework for fast-tracked crypto ETF listings appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The Securities and Exchange Commission has approved new generic listing standards for spot crypto exchange-traded funds, clearing the way for faster approvals. Summary SEC has greenlighted new generic listing standards for spot crypto ETFs. Rule change eliminates lengthy case-by-case approvals, aligning crypto ETFs with commodity funds. Grayscale’s Digital Large Cap Fund and Bitcoin ETF options also gain approval. The U.S. SEC has approved new generic listing standards that will allow exchanges to fast-track spot crypto ETFs, marking a pivotal shift in U.S. digital asset regulation. According to a Sept. 17 press release, the SEC voted to approve rule changes from Nasdaq, NYSE Arca, and Cboe BZX, enabling them to list and trade commodity-based trust shares, including those holding spot digital assets, without submitting individual proposals for each product. A streamlined path for crypto ETFs Under the new rules, an ETF can be listed without SEC sign-off if its underlying asset trades on a market with surveillance-sharing agreements, has active CFTC-regulated futures contracts for at least six months, or already represents at least 40% of an existing listed ETF. This brings crypto ETFs in line with traditional commodity-based funds under Rule 6c-11, eliminating a process that could take up to 240 days. SEC chair Paul Atkins said the move was designed to “maximize investor choice and foster innovation” while ensuring the U.S. remains the leading market for digital assets. Jamie Selway, director of the division of trading and markets, called the framework “a rational, rules-based approach” that balances access with investor protection. First products already approved Alongside the new standards, the SEC cleared the listing of the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund, which tracks spot assets based on the CoinDesk 5 Index. It also approved trading of options tied to the Cboe Bitcoin U.S. ETF Index and its mini version, with…
