The treaty alliance between the Philippines and the United States has seen some rough patches, but nothing brings allies closer together than a common enemy rearing its head.
This year, 2026, will see increased cooperation and interaction between Philippine and American forces, not in small part because of China’s looming threat of taking Taiwan, which is a boat ride away from the Philippines’ northernmost island.
