JASMY: What Do Momentum Indicators Say? January 19, 2026 Analysis

JASMY’s MACD histogram is contracting in the negative zone; short-term momentum is weak but RSI in the neutral zone could signal a recovery – watch closely.

Trend Status and Momentum Analysis

JASMY is currently trading sideways at the 0.01 dollar level and holding its daily range squeezed in the 0.01-0.01 dollar band with a 5.44% drop over the last 24 hours. Volume is hovering around 28 million dollars, indicating medium-level activity compared to previous periods but not strongly confirming the weakness in momentum. While the overall trend can be defined as sideways, short-term momentum indicators highlight bearish pressure. The Supertrend indicator is giving a bearish signal and positioning the 0.01 dollar level as resistance. In this environment, examining the dynamics of RSI, MACD, and EMA ribbons—which are critical for momentum traders—is vital for determining the possible breakout direction. The market is among altcoins squeezed under BTC dominance, and with general risk appetite low, JASMY’s own internal dynamics also support the bearish trend.

RSI Indicator: Buy or Sell?

RSI Divergence Analysis

RSI (14) is currently at 48.68 in the neutral zone; it gives neither overbought nor oversold signals. This value indicates that momentum has not fully turned bearish or bullish, though no consistent divergence has been observed recently. Despite recent price lows, a slight bullish divergence formation can be observed in RSI—price is making new lows while RSI is not bottoming out. This could be an early sign of hidden bullish divergence, and if it breaks above 50, short-term recovery momentum could gain traction. However, the divergence is not yet fully confirmed; without volume increase, this signal remains weak. Momentum-focused traders should note that selling pressure could intensify if RSI drops below 40, while buyers may enter if it rises above 55. In multiple time frames (MTF), a neutral stance dominates on the daily chart, while there’s a slight bearish divergence risk on the weekly.

Overbought/Oversold Zones

RSI at 48.68 continues to stay within the 30-70 neutral corridor. The oversold zone (below 30) could trigger if approaching recent support levels (0.0073 dollars, score 71/100), creating a potential bounce opportunity. On the other hand, bullish momentum remains weak without breaking above 70. In JASMY’s sideways trend, RSI is staying away from overbought/oversold zones, signaling consolidation; 60+ level is the critical threshold for breakout.

MACD Signals and Histogram Dynamics

MACD is in bearish territory; the signal line is below the MACD line and the histogram is contracting in the negative zone. This contraction signals that bearish momentum is starting to lose strength—the histogram bars are shorter than previous days, heralding momentum fatigue. Although the signal line crossover remains downward, the histogram’s approach to the zero line highlights a potential bullish crossover. On the daily chart, MACD value is around -0.0005, while the negative but shrinking histogram bars confirm easing selling pressure. If confirmed by volume (current 28M$ volume is insufficient), this contraction could be a short-term reversal signal. For momentum traders, a strong buy signal should be sought if the histogram crosses zero upward; otherwise, bearish continuation is expected. In MTF confluence, similar contraction is observed on the 3-day chart, while negative momentum dominates on the weekly.

EMA Systems and Trend Strength

Short-Term EMAs

JASMY price is trading below EMA20 (0.01 dollars), clearly indicating a short-term bearish trend. There’s congestion between EMA10 and EMA20; ribbon contraction shows weak trend strength. If price fails to break above EMA20, support tests become inevitable before approaching 0.0078 dollar resistance (score 91/100). Short-term EMA dynamics support the bearish bias in momentum but contraction signals a potential squeeze.

Medium/Long-Term EMA Supports

EMA50 and EMA200 form support in the 0.0073-0.0066 dollar band (scores 71 and 68/100). The medium-term EMA ribbon is flattening, indicating reduced trend strength. Approach to long-term EMA200 could trigger an accumulation pattern but requires volume confirmation. 14 strong levels (1D:3S/2R, 3D:1S/2R, 1W:2S/4R) carry more resistance weight in MTF confluence, strengthening the bearish scenario.

Bitcoin Correlation

BTC is at 93,196 dollars level and maintaining its uptrend with a 2.10% drop in the last 24 hours, though Supertrend gives a bearish signal. Altcoins like JASMY are highly correlated with BTC; if BTC fails to hold 93,030-91,003 dollar supports, pressure on altcoins increases. BTC resistances at 94,111-95,645 dollars; failure to break here raises dominance and pulls JASMY to 0.0073 support. With BTC Supertrend bearish, a cautious approach is necessary for altcoins—JASMY’s weak momentum combined with BTC decline highlights bearish targets (0.0017, score 20). Check detailed data in JASMY Spot Analysis and JASMY Futures Analysis.

Momentum Outcome and Expectations

Overall momentum shows a bearish-biased sideways trend: RSI neutral (48.68), MACD histogram contracting, price below EMA20, and Supertrend bearish. Volume at 28M$ does not confirm weak momentum, divergences offer early bullish hints but confirmation is awaited. Critical supports at 0.0073-0.0054 dollars, resistances at 0.0078-0.0092 dollars. Bullish target 0.0144 (low score), bearish 0.0017 (medium score). Momentum confluence favors selling pressure but histogram contraction carries reversal potential. Traders should seek buy positions with RSI 55+ and MACD zero crossover, sell-focused below 40. Market is volatile; MTF levels and BTC movements will be decisive.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
