In 2025, World transformed its vision into reality, expanding its human verification network globally and advancing AI-driven technology for enhanced user engagement.

In 2025, World made significant strides in realizing its ambitious vision of creating a global network of verified humans, according to world.org. The organization, which aims to build trust in an era increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence, reported a user base of nearly 38 million, with verified individuals across six continents.

Global Expansion and Key Markets

This year, World expanded its presence in Europe and Asia, launching in the United Kingdom and Taiwan, thereby enhancing access to its human verification services for millions. A notable achievement was its entry into the United States, the birthplace of the AI revolution. The opening of a flagship location in San Francisco’s Union Square received extensive media coverage and was attended by prominent civic leaders.

Technological Advancements

World introduced its next-generation Orb, powered by NVIDIA Jetson processors, offering nearly five times the AI performance of previous models. The production of these Orbs in a new Texas facility marked a significant milestone, allowing for scalable manufacturing with fewer components. In a commitment to transparency, World open-sourced its Orb hardware, inviting further innovation and collaboration.

World App: A New Era of Connectivity

The launch of the revamped World App in December marked a pivotal moment for the organization. This all-encompassing application redefined user interaction by facilitating secure communication, digital asset management, and participation in the global economy. With features like World Chat and virtual accounts, the app supports secure, end-to-end encrypted messaging and enables users to receive payments in USDC. Additionally, over 500 Mini Apps, spanning prediction markets to DeFi lending, have broadened the app’s ecosystem.

Future Outlook

As AI continues to revolutionize possibilities, World remains focused on ensuring technology serves humanity rather than replacing it. Looking ahead, the organization plans to enhance its offerings through continuous innovation, expanded accessibility, and deeper integration with daily-use platforms. The progress achieved in 2025 signifies a foundational shift towards a more authentic and engaged human network.

Ripple unveils XRPL’s updated roadmap with plans to launch a native lending protocol

The post Ripple unveils XRPL’s updated roadmap with plans to launch a native lending protocol appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Key Takeaways A native lending protocol is scheduled for release in XRPL Version 3.0.0 later this year. Recent upgrades bring advanced features like Batch Transactions, Permissioned DEX, and upcoming zero-knowledge proof integration. Ripple on Monday published an updated roadmap for the XRP Ledger outlining new features designed to scale institutional decentralized finance. As part of the update, the team plans to launch a native lending protocol later this year to support compliant, low-cost on-ledger credit markets. The product is slated to go live with XRPL Version 3.0.0. The protocol will introduce pooled lending and underwritten credit directly at the ledger level through Single-Asset Vaults and the Lending Protocol specifications. The system will pool liquidity through vaults and issue shares that can be public or restricted, then use these vaults to support fixed-term loans with repayment schedules managed directly on-chain. While underwriting and risk management remain off-chain, institutions can add safety with first-loss capital or structure collateralized loans through regulated custodians. According to Ripple, the protocol is aimed at giving institutions low-cost, compliant credit markets that tap into liquidity from global investors. With XRPL’s low fees, fast settlement, and modular design, the team wants to make institutional DeFi more efficient and scalable. “For institutions, the appeal is clear: no financial institution will turn down low-cost capital if it can be sourced within KYC/AML standards. The lending protocol enables exactly that, pooling liquidity from a global base of smaller investors into institutional-sized loans while maintaining compliance,” the roadmap states. The roadmap also points to future integration of zero-knowledge proofs to enable privacy-preserving collateral management while maintaining regulatory compliance. Ripple said the deployment is under development, with confidential Multi-Purpose Tokens planned for Q1 2026. XRPL’s institutional DeFi roadmap is moving beyond token standards and compliance toward a native lending system. The next phase…
