PancakeSwap Backs Probable as Onchain Prediction Markets Expand on BNB Chain

  • PancakeSwap incubates Probable, an on-chain prediction platform on BNB Chain offering zero fees.
  • Using UMA Optimistic Oracle, users predict diverse events with any token, auto-converted to USDT.

On December 16, PancakeSwap revealed its backing for a new platform named Probable, a fully on-chain prediction market developed with YZi Labs. This project is being exclusively deployed on BNB Chain and aims to bring a new format of user-focused prediction experiences without charging fees at launch.

Probable supports predictions related to cryptocurrency prices, global affairs, sports results, and regional topics. The system relies on UMA’s Optimistic Oracle for outcome validation, enabling tamper-resistant, dispute-driven resolution across all markets.

To make participation simpler, users can deposit any cryptocurrency. The system automatically swaps it into USDT on the BNB Chain. This removes the need for token swaps, bridges, or switching between networks, reducing the friction for entry.

The Probable team stated,

Probable Leverages BNB Speed for Cost-Free Predictions

Though PancakeSwap is providing incubation and support, it clarified that Probable will function independently with its own team leading product development and expanding its ecosystem. YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs, is co-funding this project. The platform said,

Probable’s integration with BNB Chain takes advantage of the network’s lower fees and high-speed infrastructure. Predictions will remain cost-free in the beginning phase, aiming to widen access and increase participation.

Probable also allows markets related to regional themes and sport events that may not be offered on other sites. With all markets built entirely on-chain, the system ensures transparency in every prediction outcome.

Future Expansion and Broader Use Cases Ahead

According to the development roadmap, Probable plans to expand the categories for prediction. These will range between crypto, international news, and sports. The platform will also roll out a points-based system to reward early users and frequent participants.

To support a growing range of prediction topics, Probable will add more oracle integrations. It will also facilitate permissionless market creation, and users will have the ability to create their prediction events. This sets up a structure where both public and private interests can interact around shared forecasts.

PancakeSwap already hosts its own price-based prediction feature on BNB Chain, covering tokens like BNB, BTC, and ETH. Probable’s launch adds more depth by introducing broader categories and a new operating structure.

As of Tuesday, BNB trades near $855, down slightly from the previous day. If the token drops below $844, it could see a further slide toward $709.29.
