President Donald Trump alleged Tuesday Iran has committed “numerous” ceasefire violations, but expects Tehran to make a “great deal” as U.S. negotiators head to Pakistan for peace talks ahead of Wednesday’s ceasefire end date.

An hour later, he told CNBC he believes the U.S. will “end up with a great deal” in talks with Iran in Pakistan Tuesday, because Iran has “no choice.”
“We’ve taken out their Navy, we’ve taken out their Air Force, we’ve taken out their leaders,” Trump told CNBC.
Trump didn’t elaborate on the alleged ceasefire violations, but on Sunday accused Iran of firing at ships attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, which he said was a “total violation of our ceasefire agreement.”
Meanwhile, Iran has said the U.S. blockade of the strait is against the ceasefire, with spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei calling it a “war crime” for “deliberately inflicting collective punishment” on Iranian civilians.
