5 Reasons You Should Get Your Home’s Sewer System Inspected Regularly

If you’re a homeowner and pay little to no attention to the sewer system, you’re not alone. It’s one of those things that’s out of sight and out of mind — until there’s an issue.

This system, which lies underground, works silently to drain water from your home. It can, however, fail and lead to costly repairs and considerable inconvenience. You can reduce the odds of small problems morphing into major ones by booking an annual sewer system service. The service provider will ensure it’s working well and fix it if it isn’t.

Here are five major reasons to include sewer system inspections in your home maintenance routine.

1. Catch Small Problems Before They Become Costly Emergencies

Sewer problems don’t just come about overnight. Things like cracks, clogs, root intrusion, corrosion, and misaligned pipes take place over time. Without regular inspections, small issues may become larger problems before anyone realizes.

An annual checkup can help professionals spot early signs of trouble, such as slow buildups, hairline cracks, or shifting joints. Such early interventions are usually much cheaper than dealing with a complete sewer line installation or a messy clean-up.

Preventive repairs won’t only save you money but can also spare you the stress and inconvenience that can arise if out-of-control sewer problems require invasive repairs.

2. Prevent Sewage Backups and Property Damage

One of the most unenviable problems homeowners can encounter is a sewage backup. When your home’s sewer line gets clogged or damaged, your toilets, drains, or floor drains may allow raw sewage to flood your home.

Annual inspections can minimize the risk of backups by making sure the sewage lines stay clear and in good condition. The person doing the inspections can detect any buildups, sagging, or collapsed sections that can trap sewage.

By preventing backups, you can protect your personal items and air quality, saving you from having to clean up messes that could have been avoided with annual inspections.

3. Safeguard Your Home’s Foundation and Landscape

A defective sewer line can damage your pipes, the foundation of your home, and your lawn. Leaking sewer pipes can also cause erosion or sinkholes due to increased moisture in the surrounding soil.

Annual checks ensure that leaks are identified early on, thus protecting your property from damage.

4. Extend the Lifespan of Your Sewer System

Sewers are built to last for many decades. But the actual lifespan depends largely on how well the system has been maintained.

Routine inspection can help homeowners keep tabs on how older pipes are holding up, which helps in planning how to take care of them before they fail entirely. Instead of waiting until your pipes are past the point of fixing, you can schedule repairs or replacements sooner rather than later.

5. Gain Peace of Mind and Protect Your Home’s Value

One of the biggest benefits associated with annual sewer inspections is the peace of mind that comes along with it. Sewer troubles can cause home valuations to plummet, which won’t work in your favor if you’re in the process of selling your house.

While you may not have plans to sell for some time, maintaining your sewer and sewer line helps protect and increase the long-term value of your home.

Your home’s sewer system plays a critical function, but this function often goes unnoticed until something goes wrong. Booking annual sewer inspections will help to prevent possible issues that may end up damaging your plumbing system.

Investing in routine inspections will safeguard your home, finances, and sanity. When it comes to sewer systems, a little prevention truly goes a long way. And annual inspections are one of the smartest things you can do on the prevention front.

Why The Green Bay Packers Must Take The Cleveland Browns Seriously — As Hard As That Might Be

The post Why The Green Bay Packers Must Take The Cleveland Browns Seriously — As Hard As That Might Be appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are off to a 2-0 start. Getty Images The Green Bay Packers are, once again, one of the NFL’s better teams. The Cleveland Browns are, once again, one of the league’s doormats. It’s why unbeaten Green Bay (2-0) is a 8-point favorite at winless Cleveland (0-2) Sunday according to betmgm.com. The money line is also Green Bay -500. Most expect this to be a Packers’ rout, and it very well could be. But Green Bay knows taking anyone in this league for granted can prove costly. “I think if you look at their roster, the paper, who they have on that team, what they can do, they got a lot of talent and things can turn around quickly for them,” Packers safety Xavier McKinney said. “We just got to kind of keep that in mind and know we not just walking into something and they just going to lay down. That’s not what they going to do.” The Browns certainly haven’t laid down on defense. Far from. Cleveland is allowing an NFL-best 191.5 yards per game. The Browns gave up 141 yards to Cincinnati in Week 1, including just seven in the second half, but still lost, 17-16. Cleveland has given up an NFL-best 45.5 rushing yards per game and just 2.1 rushing yards per attempt. “The biggest thing is our defensive line is much, much improved over last year and I think we’ve got back to our personality,” defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said recently. “When we play our best, our D-line leads us there as our engine.” The Browns rank third in the league in passing defense, allowing just 146.0 yards per game. Cleveland has also gone 30 straight games without allowing a 300-yard passer, the longest active streak in the NFL.…
