Chainlink has announced the launch of 24/5 U.S. Equities and ETF Data Streams, providing DeFi platforms with continuous stock market data across all trading sessions. The feeds include prices, bid/ask information, and volume information, as well as market status.
The feeds are compatible with on-chain U.S. stock perpetual contracts, prediction markets, synthetic stocks, lending, structured products, and other real-world asset use cases.
These feeds have already been integrated into platforms such as Lighter, BitMEX, ApeX, and Orderly Network. As stated in a Chainlink blog post on Tuesday, the data streams enhance Chainlink Data Streams by offering fast and secure market data for stocks and ETFs.
The data streams are available on more than 40 blockchains and enable on-chain protocols to access equity markets outside regular U.S. trading hours.

The real-world assets are rapidly moving on-chain, and the projected value by 2030 is $30 trillion. However, U.S. stocks are not well-represented because there are a large number of trading sessions, and there is not enough data on-chain.
This is because most systems only display prices during normal trading hours, resulting in gaps that increase risks and hinder the development of safe equity products. The Chainlink 24/5 U.S. Equities Streams organize disparate market data into constant, cryptographically secured streams.
The streams display bid and ask prices, volumes, midpoint prices, last traded prices, staleness indicators, and market status indicators for pre-market, regular market hours, after-hours markets, overnight markets, weekend/closed markets, or unknown markets.
The network Data Standard, which has processed more than $27 trillion in transaction value and sent more than 19 billion verified messages on-chain, secures the streams.
The streams are already employed by Lighter, BitMEX, ApeX, HelloTrade, Decibel, Monaco, Opinion Labs, and Orderly Network.
Lighter employs them to enable perpetual trading outside normal trading hours, while BitMEX employs the streams for a professional-grade equity derivatives platform.
Developers can integrate Chainlink 24/5 U.S. Equities Streams following the official documentation, which describes the feeds, data formats, and how to integrate them.
The network is further expanding its reach in terms of various asset classes and geographies, leveraging the globally accessible and institution-ready on-chain markets.
